SmartPrep Colorado did not spring up when the pandemic hit. We’ve been tutoring students in Colorado Springs and surrounding communities since 2012. Whether you’re struggling with a particular subject, want additional help for advanced classes, need to boost ACT/SAT scores, or have trouble organizing and completing work, our tutors know the local schools and teachers and have the skill and experience to help students excel.
Vetted Educators
The majority of SmartPrep Colorado tutors are professionally-licensed teachers or retired teachers. All tutors, including licensed teachers, are vetted by SmartPrep Colorado founder, Leslie Rutberg. With a Masters degree from Colorado College and more than 20 years’ experience in Colorado Springs’ middle school and high school classrooms, Leslie hand-picks and trains all tutors for SmartPrep Colorado.
Monthly Billing
Once your student starts with tutoring, the student and/or parent will arrange the frequency and duration of tutoring sessions directly with the tutor(s). For your convenience, we will send you one monthly invoice with all of that month’s tutoring sessions. Most clients prefer to pay via Paypal or personal check.
Personal Tutoring Services Include:
Consultation with student and/or parent over the phone and/or on line. Appointments are typically scheduled for 60-90 minutes.
Diagnostic testing where needed
Analytical approach to student work
Study strategies
Reteaching curriculum
Reteaching and/or updating approach to successfully addressing the subject
Reteaching and/or updating approach to study strategies in regard to the specific subject
Additional materials to support the subject being tutored
Positive approach to student learning
Price: $75 per hour
